Review: 'The One We Fell In Love With' Paige Toon

Bestselling author Paige Toon is back with another dose of summery chick lit in the form of her tenth novel 'The One We Fell In Love With'. The novel follows the individual yet entwined lives of triplets, Phoebe, Rose and Eliza, and the boy next door they all fell in love with.

The triplets are very, very different in their nature and it's these conflicting personalities that brings a rapid series of twists and turns throughout the book. The ending of this epic romantic drama is one that will certainly keep you guessing too. With a narrative that unfolds throughout alternating chapters, each expressing the different viewpoints of the triplets, it's an easy one to power through during a day spent lounging by the pool.

The non-chronological format of the novel works well, allowing Toon to add rich layers of detail without giving too much away. Even after the big twist that hits unexpectedly halfway through readers are left guessing, even self-doubting if the shocking tragedy they think has happened has really occurred.

'The One We Fell In Love With' is heart-wrenching in places but also retains a well-timed comic edge when it's needed most. Paige Toon's latest read is a monumental landmark in her writing career and has one of the strongest plot lines we've seen from the author to date.

If you're looking for a romantic read that really gets your heart fluttering, then look no further. The gripping, poignant tale is definitely one to digest, whether that be on holiday or on your morning commute.
